NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office have arrested a 19-year-old man after they say he shot two other men with a pistol.
Austin Whitaker, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of unlicensed carrying of a weapon. No bail amounts have been set for his charges yet.
According to the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office's daily activity report, deputies were dispatched to the 1400 block of County Road 521 Saturday night for a disturbance with weapons.
When deputies arrived, they determined Whitaker had argued with several people at a party. The report states that argument turned into a struggled once Whitaker pulled out a pistol and began firing shots. Three men, including Whitaker, were shot during that struggle, the report said.
Whitaker ran off but later showed up at a local hospital and was arrested after receiving treatment, according to the report.
The names of the two shooting victims or their conditions have not yet been released.
