ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Deputies with the Angelina County Sheriff's Office seized 700 marijuana plants in a raid Monday evening.

According to Lt. Brett Maisel, deputies and agents with DPS served a search warrant on the 2400 block of Cheeseland Road.

"This definnently wasn't for personnel use," Cpt. Alton Lenderman said. "This was a commercial sized operation. It was in the laundry room, the kitchen area, the garage area, and an out building."

Maisel said the plants were being cultivated through an elaborate indoor grow in the home and in an outbuilding.

Lenderman said nobody was at the home at the time of the raid. They are working to find the property owner to get more information. Lenderman said nobody was living in the home. Lenderman said it was one of the largest indoor operations he has encountered.

"When we find a grow it might be in a closet or maybe up in the attic or a small room," Lenderman said. "This consisted of a large house of over 2,000 square feet."
