CROCKETT, TX (KTRE) - The City of Crockett is preparing for their first ever Easter egg hunt that will be co-hosted by the fire and police departments.
The event will take place on Saturday March 26 at the Davy Crockett Memorial Park. The event will start at 9 am. There will be two groups that get to hunt for eggs. They are divided with the children 5 years old and younger starting at 9 a.m. and ages 6 to 12 hunting at 10 a.m.
The departments has partnered with HEB and Walmart and will be serving free hotdogs and drinks from 11 a.m. until they run out.
The fire department will also have a photo booth set up with the Easter Bunny and their very own Sparky the fire dog.
"This will Let the community see the human side of us that people normally do not see," Crockett Fire Chief David Cross said. "Normally it is just a traffic stop or other interaction, it will be good to see this side of us."
