JP releases name of baby who died after being left in car

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Following an open records request, a justice of the peace has released the name of a baby who died after being left in a car in the State Supported Living Center parking lot.

Peyton Hale-Williams, a seven-month-old girl, was unintentionally left in the car seat by her grandmother, who worked at the center, for several hours in the parking lot on Tuesday, according to the Angelina County Sheriff's Office.

Emergency responders were called to the parking lot around 5 p.m. and took Peyton to a Lufkin hospital, where she was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Billy Ball.
