LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - After a hiatus of several years, Burke's Outlet will be returning to Lufkin soon.
According to the Johna Childers, a permit technician with the City of Lufkin, Burke's Outlet is going to be using half of the old Randall's grocery store location at 3047 South John Redditt Drive. The re-model of that half of the building has already started, Childers said.
The construction permit for the new Burke's store was issued on Jan. 19, Childers said.
Childer's said Lufkin's Conn's store will be moving to the other half of the old Randall's location.
The grand opening date for the new Burke's store is not known at this time.
The Burke's Outlet chain is owned by Beall's Inc., which was founded in 1915. according to the company's Website. The company's Outlet brand was launched in 1987, and there are Burke's Outlet stores in 13 states from Nevada to Virginia. The Beall's Outlet name is used in Arizona, Florida, and Georgia, and the company has 450 stores now open or under development, according to the Burke's Outlet Website.
