HOUSTON COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Houston County Pct. 1 Commissioner Roger Dickey has resigned.

Dickey sent a letter to Houston County Judge Erin Ford's office on March 17.

"I would like nothing more than to finish out my full term, however, I must resign effective today," the letter stated. "it has been both a privilege and an honor to serve in this capacity since Jan 1, 2009. There is no greater honor than to be able to serve your fellow man."
