POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - The Polk County Sheriff's Office has charged a Livingston couple after a baby tested positive for meth.
According to an arrest affidavit, deputies spoke to Jason Elliott Reeves, 36, on Feb. 10 and asked him about him dealing meth from his home. Reeves said he did have meth at his home and went to retrieve it from where he thought it was but could not find it, according to the affidavit.
According to the affidavit, Reeves asked Jessy Erin Bycroft, 25, where the meth was and she told him she put them in a cabinet outside the bedroom.
According to the affidavit, Reeves admitted to using meth with Bycroft.
The couple's baby, who is less than a year old, tested positive for meth.
Reeves has been in the Polk County Jail since Feb. 16, on charges of aggravated assault, two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and endangering a a child. His collective bond is set at $130,000.
Bycroft was booked into the jail on March 17 on charges of endangering a child, possession of a controlled substance and a probation violation. While her bond on the first two charges equals $60,000, no bond is set on the probation violation.
