ARLINGTON, TX- It's about time to fire up those grills and put on your baseball caps. Opening Day is right around the corner and the Texas Rangers announced Cole Hamels will start things off on the mound.
This will be Hamels 13th start for the Rangers after being traded with the Phillies last July. The lefty's gone 7-1 in his former starts. He's previously opened up the season for the Phillies in 2013 and 2015.
Rangers' season begins April 4th in Arlington against the Seattle Mariners.
