DALLAS, TX - According to ESPN, Dallas Maverick Chandler Parsons underwent season-ending knee surgery in Dallas Friday morning. Parsons surgically repaired a torn meniscus in his right knee.
The small forward will be out for the remainder of the year and the timing of the injury is poor as Dallas is still in the fight to clinch a playoff spot.
This is the second consecutive year Parsons has checked out of the season early for getting surgery on his right knee. ESPN reported this year's injury is not as severe as last years.
After his surgery last year, Parsons was sidelined during the preseason and season opener.
Parsons averaged 13.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 61 games this year.
