They braved the cold winds Friday night to save lives.
It was all part of the annual Relay For Life walk to benefit the American Cancer Society in Nacogdoches. Several cancer survivors took the first steps around the track with the goal to raise cancer awareness and push to find a cure.
One cancer survivor tells us seeing all the money raised to fight the disease makes the cold walk worth it.
Buddy Ritter said, "the effort, the people who contribute. Some big, some small, it doesn't really matter, it's all worth every bit of it."
