NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Back by popular demand in Nacogdoches will be a speaker who gives people an opportunity to learn about the Islam faith.

Westminster Presbyterian Church will host an interfaith dialogue and dinner on Wednesday. Special guest is Anwar Khalifa.

Although he's a construction firm owner by profession, he is a Muslim by faith, and he lives in Tyler.

Khalifa is a Muslim leader in Tyler -- a member of various Islam organizations.

He's a sought after speaker because of his willingness and personable approach in helping people understand what the true Islam is all about.

"We hear so much about the terrorists and the non-true Islam in the news that he and we would like people to know what Islam really is,” said Dr. Sharon Templeman, a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church’s Evangelism Committee.

A catered dinner will precede the talk. Reservations are necessary to eat.

The interfaith dialogue and dinner is at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Reservations are needed by Tuesday at close of business. Call the church at (936) 564-0203 to make arrangements.
