LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Lufkin man has pleaded no-contest to slapping a 2-year-old hard enough to leave a mark after the toddler bit him last March.
Hubert Higgins, 50, entered the plea in Judge Paul White's courtroom. His sentencing will come at a later date.
According to a previous report, Higgins was outside when the toddler bit him, and he slapped the child. When deputies arrived, they reported the child's face was "extremely red" and had marks from his chin to his left ear.
