NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Investigators with the Nacogdoches Police Department are investigating an incident in which someone fired multiple gunshots at a home in the 300 block of Ritchie Street late Monday night.

Three children under the age of five were in the home when the shots were fired. However, no one in the family of six was injured in the incident.

According to the Nacogdoches Police Department’s daily activity report, the deadly conduct incident occurred at about 11 p.m. Monday night. At least two bullets penetrated the home’s front wall, and a truck at the residence was hit as well.

A woman who lives at the home said her father was the only one in the front room when the shooting incident occurred. she also said it was the third time in just over a year that the home was hit by gunfire.

Sgt. Greg Sowell with the Nacogdoches Police Department said it looks as though the shots were fired from a vehicle.  He said police don’t have any descriptions of the vehicle or the suspect or suspects.

If an arrest is made in the case, deadly conduct is a third-degree felony.
