For Sue Gunter, the ultimate respect was becoming a 2005 inductee into the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame.
In 40-years as a head college basketball coach, Gunter's teams compiled 708 wins.
266 of which were racked up during her 16-seasons as the head coach of the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks. Gunter put the Ladyjacks program on the map as a national powerhouse.
She spent the next 22-seasons as L.S.U.'s head coach, leading the Lady Tigers to 8-Sweet 16 appearances, the Elite Eight 4-times, and to one Final Four.
The 63-year-old coaching legend will be officially be inducted the weekend of September 8-10th in Springfield, Massachusetts.
