Convicted Killer Escapee Caught In East Texas

An escaped convicted killer who disappeared in 1994 with an Oklahoma assistant warden's wife today said he always expected to be caught.

Randolph Dial was arrested yesterday at his mobile home in Campti, in East Texas. A tip on Dial's whereabouts was generated by the TV show "America's Most Wanted."

The FBI says Dial and Parker lived in the trailer and she stayed with him out of fear for her family. Parker has now been reunited with her husband, Randy. They have two daughters.

Dial, who went by Richard Franklin Deahl , says he lived in Houston, Nacogdoches and other places before Campti.

He was convicted of the 1981 murder of a karate instructor.

Dial had trusty status at the Oklahoma State Reformatory in Granite and ran an inmate pottery program with Bobbi Parker.
