LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The 2016 Reindeer Run in Lufkin will be hosted the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council.
The Christmas-themed run, was started by the Lufkin Community Partners to raise money for the Rainbow Room.
However, after five years, they're looking to start a new fundraiser and transferred the run over to ADAC.
The transition happened Tuesday, and ADAC said they're excited to continue this special event.
"We anticipate that we will be successful as we transition," said ADAC Executive Director Phyllis Grandgeorge. "We will be back out at the zoo this December and the funds that will be raised will go to prevention services of the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council."
The Lufkin Community Partners are still deciding what their new fundraising event will be, but the money raised will still go towards the Rainbow Room.
