LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Officers with the Angelina County Sheriff's Office arrested a Lufkin man for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman multiple times.
According to the affidavit, Willie Ray James Jr., 52, used both brutal physical force and verbal abuse to engage in non-consensual sexual activities with the victim.
The victim told detectives she was at a Lufkin home on Sunday when James demanded oral sex, the affidavit stated. After she refused to consent, James allegedly struck the victim in the face and forced her to perform the act.
Later that evening, the victim said James used a knife to force his way into a locked bedroom she was in and struck her in the face. He then demanded that she have sexual intercourse with him. The victim said she pleaded with him to stop and refused consent, but James became violent and sexually assaulted her again, the affidavit stated.
The victim was taken to Harold's House Monday, where a SANE test was performed. The test results showed the woman's recent injuries were consistent with the victim's allegations. Additional injuries, including recent bruising to the neck, were discovered on the victim's body.
James was arrested Tuesday on a second-degree felony sexual assault charge. His bond has not been set yet.
