DALLAS, TX - After being indicted on a misdemeanor assault charge, a Dallas judge has ordered a May 5 court date for Johnny Manziel and set a $1,500 bond. Dallas Judge Roberto Canas made it known that he will explain the conditions of the bond to Manziel on May 5.
An arrest warrant was issued for Manziel and his attorney, Robert Hinton, said the former Cleveland Brown quarterback won't turn himself in until the day before or day of the hearing.
As of now, Manziel is ordered to stay away from his former girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, who is the alleged victim in this case. The Tyler native also cannot possess a firearm.
If found guilty of the misdemeanor assault related to family violence, Manziel could face up to one year in jail and a $4,000 bond.
