NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - At 5 years old, Brandy, the calico cat, has become one of the more friendly cats at the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter.
"She was brought in off of the streets," said Animal control officer Steven Bryant. "She also just had a littler of kittens, and they are here as well."
When given the time to leave her cage, Brandy is more worried about exploring than playing with one of the several toys. Brandy is also described as very pleasant.
"They kind of have a different attitude about them, but she's not your typical one," Bryant said. "We haven't noticed any attitude about her. She is real loving and real laid back. She's not a real frantic cat. If I didn't have so many cats, she would be the one I take home."
it is hard to say for sure, but the staff at the shelter believe Brandy has lived most of her live as a stray. Despite those feelings the shelter is confident Brandy would make a good house cat.
"She has probably been outside most of her life," Bryant said. "She would do fine inside. They all use litter boxes here and that is the main thing. I think she would make a good inside cat."
