POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A traffic stop in Polk County early Wednesday morning resulted in four felony arrests and the seizure of 24 grams of methamphetamine, a large quantity of Xanax pills, and an AR-15 assault rifle.
According to a press release from the Polk County Sheriff's Office, a PCSO patrol deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle containing Ricky Freeman Jr. and Norma Filipe, both of Corrigan early Wednesday morning. During the traffic stop, deputies found about 1 gram of meth in the vehicle.
Freeman and Felipe were both arrested and charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, the press release stated.
At that point, the Polk County Sheriff's Office got a warrant to search the home on US Highway 59 in Corrigan where the two had been staying. The residence was found to be occupied by Javier Calderon and Suri Contrera, both of Houston. The search of the home revealed 24 grams of meth, a large quantity of Xanax pills, and an AR-15 rifle.
Calderon and Contrera were both charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance and felon in possession of a firearm.
