CENTER, TX (KTRE) -

Center Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in finding several women who allegedly tried to steal merchandise from the town’s Walmart on March 30. At the time, they had several small children with them.

According to a press release, Center police officers were notified that several women with young children in tow had committed theft inside the Walmart store located on Hurst Street. The adults allegedly loaded items into plastic containers and attempted to leave the store with the stolen merchandise.

All of the suspects and the children left in a blue Dodge Durango, the press release stated.

“Center Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information,” the press release stated. “Anyone who has information regarding this crime should call Center Crime Stoppers at (936) 598-SAFE (7233) or submit a tip online at www.centercrimestoppers.com.”

Tipsters don’t have to give their names. All calls and cash rewards are completely anonymous. However, rewards will only be paid on tips submitted through the Center Crime Stoppers system.
