ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A fire destroyed a home on FM 1475 in Angelina County late Tuesday night.

Bobby Cranford, the assistant chief of the Fuller Springs Volunteer Fire Department, said they were dispatched out to the fire at about 10:45 p.m. Tuesday. When they arrived on the scene, the house was fully engulfed in flames.

"The home was a complete lost," Bobby said. "When we arrived the entire attic and at least two rooms were fully engulfed. The roof was totally engulfed in flames."

The house, a three-bedroom and two bath, is located on FM 1475 about a half mile from FM 841.

The home had one occupant, who wasn't home when the fire broke out, Cranford said. He added that the man declined help from the Red Cross and told firefighters he had a place to stay.

Cranford said the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
