NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - When a Nacogdoches County grand jury met last month, they indicted a 28-year-old Lufkin man on two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and one indecency with a child charge in connection to allegations that he sexually assaulted a 6-year-old boy.
Thomas Antonio Mejias, 28, was booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail Tuesday. Collectively, his bail amount has been set at $250,000, according to the text of the indictment, which KTRE obtained Wednesday.
According to the indictment, Mejias was indicted on two first-degree felony aggravated sexual assault of a child charges and a second-degree felony indecency with a child charge.
Mejias is accused of sexually assaulting a 6-year-old boy on March 16 and at least one other occasion. He is also accused of touching the boy's genitals.
