EMPORIA, KS- After being released from the Texas A&M baseball team, former Lufkin Panther Tyler Stubblefield is making the most out of his stay at Emporia State.
In his first season, Stubblefield's already been nominated for the Brett Tomko Award. It’s an honor that recognizes the best pitcher at the Division II level.
Stubblefield has an 8-1 record, has recorded 81 strikeouts in a little over 85 innings, and has a 2.52 ERA.
The winner of the Brett Tomko Award will be announced June 6th.
