TRINITY, TX (KTRE) - Police have arrested a Trinity woman accused of attacking her child in the Trinity Police Department lobby on May 8.

Alicia Nicole Jackson, 32, is charged with third-degree injury to a child.

According to the arrest affidavit, two children were at the lobby on May 8 because of an altercation they had with their mother. After an officer had investigated the incident, he went out but was called back an hour later.

The officer said when he got in the front lobby, he noticed Jackson on top of one of the children and he had to physically remove her off of him.

The officer said he asked Jackson what happened and Jackson said she would not be respected by her son and she said he had been cursing her and threatening her.

The officer reported the child had a bruise on his left eye, an abrasion on the left side of his head and a chipped front tooth.

Security video showed Jackson had struck the son numerous times with a closed hand strike, according to the affidavit.
