LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin's class of 2023 got together for the first time at the Convention Center in Lufkin on Tuesday.
Students from different area schools united to participate in various team-building activates.
This event is meant to teach students about themselves and how to work together.
"It has been wonderful to see the kids come out of their shells, meet each other, and make new friends," said April Sebesta, a principal at Brookhollow. "Some of the kids that are kind of quiet on your campus have come out during activities."
Some of the activities also included a personality test, Zumba class, and active group activities, which helped the students with social and networking skills.
