If you think having a couple drinks on prom night is no big deal, think again. As some kids found out the hard way last weekend - you may not see them, but they see you...agents in search of kids ready to break the law.

Jeff Taylor of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission said, "We don't want the kids to feel like we're out trying to spoil their prom night or spoil their graduation night or anything, because it's a special night for a lot of the kids, but they can do it in a safe way without alcohol."

Prom night isn't the only time authorities watch for under rage drinkers. No matter when you get caught, the penalty is stiff.

"You'll face a fine of up to $500, not to [mention] how much your insurance is going to go up."

The first time a minor is charged with a crime involving alcohol, they'll have to see a judge who'll either sentence them to community service or order them to pay a fine. They'll also have to go to an alcohol awareness class and temporarily lose their driver's license.
