Livingston police: Elderly woman injured in home invasion

LIVINGSTON, TX (KTRE) -

Livingston police are seeking the public's help in getting information on a home invasion which left an elderly woman injured after she came home during the break-in last week.

According to the press release, officers and EMS responded to a home burglary in the Oak Forest Subdivision at 9:50 a.m. Friday.

The elderly woman said she had arrived at her home and encountered two black men who assaulted her. She said they had forced their way in through a back window and made off with cash, jewelry and two guns.

A witness said he had seen a light gray or silver minivan in front of the home before 8 a.m. and nobody was in it.

The woman was taken to a Livingston hospital, where she was treated a released the same day.
