NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office have arrested a Nacogdoches man and woman accused of having drugs around a child.

Samantha Marie Smith, 33, and Rickey Lynn Williams, 55, are each charged with first-degree delivery of a controlled substance and state-jail felony endangering a child. Each person's collective bail amount was set at $65,000.

According to the sheriff's office report, deputies responded to a home in the 2000 block of County Road 816 at 11:21 p.m. Monday to look for a wanted person.

While at the house, deputies reported finding drug paraphernalia in the room of Smith and Williams. After searching the room and car, they reported finding meth, scales, pipes and syringes.

During the search, deputies reported Williams came home and he had meth while he was in the presence of a one-year-old child.

Deputies arrested both.
