Road closure and power outages list

According to TXDot, the following are road closures reported in the Deep East Texas area, due to flooding rain:

Houston County

* State Highway 19 to south of FM 2110.

Trinity County

* State Highway 19.

* FM 1280.

* FM 3154 in various locations.

As of 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Oncor, a power company, is reporting more than 2,000 customers are without power in Nacogdoches County and nearly 3,000 are affected in Angelina County.

Oncor does ask if you know of any outages -- to please report them.

As of 9:50 p.m. Thursday, a flash flood watch is in effect for Houston, Polk and Trinity counties until 7 p.m. Friday. 

As of Deep East Texas Electric Cooperative is reporting approximately 5,000 meters out due to the weather.  Outages are scattered across the system with the majority being in Nacogdoches and Shelby County. Crews are currently working as quickly as possible to restore power as weather safely permits.
