EAST TEXAS (KTRE) - According to TxDOT, the following are road closures are reported in the Deep East Texas area on Friday.
Hwy 59 is down to one lane each direction near Shepherd.
Northbound traffic on US 59 will be detoured at Cleveland. From there, traffic will have to head up SH 105 to SH 146.
FM 2497 has high water locations and several trees are also down south of Lufkin.
A portion of Flat Bottom Road has washed out, according to Pct. 4 County Commissioner Bobby Cheshire.
FM 324 near the city wastewater plant is closed due to flooding.
FM 1294 is flooded east of Hwy 69 in Wells.
* State Highway 19 to south of FM 2110.
* State Highway 19.
* FM 1280.
* FM 3154 in various locations.
The Texas Department of Transportation reported that southbound traffic on US 59 is being diverted to FM 1988 in Goodrich From there, motorists will have to take State Highway 146 to SH 105.
An automated message from Deep East Texas Electric Cooperative says "We do not have an estimated time of restoring power," and listed more than a dozen cities stretching across the region as experiencing outages.
