Onalaska woman gets 18 months for boy walking in street

LIVINGSTON, TX (KTRE) - An Onalaska woman pleaded guilty to being "extremely asleep" while her child was walking in the middle of a street in 2014.

Tera Elizabeth Walker, 25, will serve 18 months in state jail as part of her plea deal, which she entered on May 25.

Onalaska police responded to the Old Town neighborhood on April 23, 2014, after a woman spotted a 3-year-old boy walking in the middle of the street. When officers went to Walker's house, they reported she was "extremely asleep" and found two Hydrocodone pills and trace evidence of meth.
