LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The Coalition, Lufkin's non-profit that focuses on preventing alcohol and drug use in teenagers, has found a new place to call home.
The non-profit had previously been sharing space with child advocacy center Harold's House. They were wanting to find a space with enough room for their meetings with the board and drug free All-Stars. The new location is in office space on Copeland and the loop.
"We had to really look because we have a large board and we wanted space for our board to meet. so that was the challenge that we had," Executive Director Janet Taylor said.
Taylor added that she believes the new location will help raise awareness for the group.
