Former Center Roughrider Dalton Horton honored as Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-American
FORT WORTH, TX- Dalton Horton is quickly making a name for himself at Texas Christian University. On Wednesday, the East Texas native was named a Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-American.
Horton is one of 34 starting pitchers to be honored.
For the Horned Frogs, Horton made 13 appearances and 12 starts. The left hander is 8-0 on the year. Through over 59 innings, Horton has a 2.58 ERA and 27 strikeouts. Horton was also a second-team Big 12 selection.
Horton and his Horned Frogs are set to reignite a Super Regional rivalry against Texas A&M this weekend. The first game will be Friday starting at 8 p.m. The Super Regional resumes Saturday and Sunday, both games start at 8 p.m.
