It's just once a year, but it brings in big bucks for Stephen F. Austin's Mast Arboretum.
The one day Spring Garden Gala brings in about $35,000 a year for the university. Workers at the sale say they always carry something unique.
Dawn Stover, a Research Associate for SFA's Mast Arboretum said, "we try to provide the public with Texas tough plants that are unusual. That you're not likely to find in garden centers, and things that are going to do really well in our climate."
