This is a quick dessert that's a great way to use the big, juicy strawberries that are so plentiful in early summer. They're inexpensive, too! You can use other fruits, if you prefer: blackberries, blueberries, and/or peaches would be great!

by Mama Steph
32 ounces (4 cups) strawberries, washed, stemmed and halved
1 cup plain flour
1 cup granulated sugar
6 TBS butter, melted
1. Spray a cast iron skillet or 8x8" baking dish with cooking spray, and preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Spread strawberries across the bottom of the baking dish, and then squeeze the lime juice over the berries.
3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar and egg. Mix together until crumbly, and then sprinkle over berries.
4. Drizzle melted butter over the crumble topping. Bake at 375 for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serve this simple, flavorful dessert with a scoop of ice cream, lime sherbet, or whipped cream.
