NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Officers with the Nacogdoches Police Department are investigating an armed robbery that allegedly occurred at a motel located on Northwest Stallings Drive Thursday morning.

Sgt. Greg Sowell, a spokesman for the Nacogdoches Police Department, said that robbery occurred at about 10:12 a.m. A man told police that he was in a motel room with two women when two men, one armed with a handgun entered the room and demanded money.

Sowell said the suspects fired at least one shot, but no one was struck by the gunfire.

The suspects allegedly robbed the man of an "undetermined amount of cash." At that point, the two suspects and the two women fled the scene.

Sowell said the suspects are described as two white men the victim didn't recognize.

The case is still under investigation, and if any arrests are made, the charge would be first-degree aggravated robbery.
