Lufkin road rage incident turns violent

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

A road rage incident turned violent in Lufkin when one driver pulled out a knife on Friday night.

Police said Stephanie Depriest,26, of Lufkin was driving southbound on Timberland drive when she made a left turn onto Atkinson drive and almost crashed into another vehicle.

The victim told police that Depriest then followed her into a paint store parking lot, got out of her car, and charged at her with a “hunting knife” and then attempted to stab her tire.

Police said the woman got back into her car and called police.

The victim proceeded to follow Depriest so police can locate her.

Depriest is being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second degree felony. Her bond is set at $10,000.
