NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A Nacogdoches man has been injured following an early morning shooting in Nacogdoches.
Nacogdoches police are interviewing witnesses and persons-of-interest but do not believe there is a danger to the public.
Sgt. Mack McKee said the shooting happened in the 800 block of Arthur Weaver Street. Bryan Anderson, 18, was in an argument with someone when that person shot him in the chest, McKee said.
McKee said a friend took him to a home in the county and that is where an ambulance picked him up. Deputies began investigating the shooting until they determined it had taken place in the city limits. So police detectives responded to the hospital to pick up the investigation.
"Nobody is in danger," McKee said. "We believe this was a known suspect to the victim."
