LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Daisy,a German short-haired pointer, is still looking for her forever home.

Daisy is a very outgoing dog but is also skittish around people she is not familiar with.

"She is a little shy, so she really needs someone that has patients with her," said Winnie Berry Animal Shelter Director Mike Stephens.

Daisy is two and was surrendered to the shelter. She has a lot of energy and is very comfortable being left outside.

"She's curious and not aggressive, but because she is shy, though, sometimes she will bark at other animals or people," Stephens said.

Stephens believes Daisy would be good around children and other pets but encourages people to bring them out with them when they look at adopting her.

The Winnie Berry Animal Shelter is located at 1102 N John Redditt Drive and is open Monday through Saturday from 10a.m. to 5 p.m.
