TYLER, TX (KTRE) - While he may be busy holding summer football camps in his native Tyler town, former SFA Lumberjack Josh Aubrey is never too busy to keep making his way in the NFL.
The East Texas native will be entering his second year with the Tennessee Titans. Originally on their practice squad, Aubrey was moved up in December to the 53-man roster, and he's out to prove he's there to stay.
The safety is one of two players representing SFA in the NFL, with Willie Jefferson over with the Washington Redskins.
"I could easily quit on myself but I can't quit on these kids with someone always watching and waiting for me to break through just so they can keep going," said Aubrey. "I feel like I got SFA on my back. It's a good deal. I'm thankful to be one of the guys who made it out of SFA and one of the guys holding the torch, but there's a lot of work to be done and it isn't over yet."
Aubrey has room for improvement after only playing in one game last year, but has an opportunity to shine at the Titans Training Camp starting July 31st.
