DIBOLL, TX (KTRE) - Diboll Police Department detectives have arrested the woman who allegedly set up sexual encounters between a 54-year-old man and a 24-year-old mentally disabled woman.
According to a Diboll Police Department's Facebook page, two DPD detectives traveled to Newton Tuesday to pick up Janice Caswell. Caswell was arrested on an aggravated sexual assault of a disabled individual charge with the assistance of the Newton Police Department.
"Caswell allegedly played a significant part in the assault with William Walley," the Diboll Police Department's Facebook post stated. Detectives worked diligently on this case to ensure justice for our victim."
According to the Facebook post, the case will now be forwarded on to the Angelina County District Attorney's Office for prosecution.
Walley, 54, is already in the Angelina County Jail. He has been charged with first-degree felony aggravated sexual assault of a disabled person. His bail amount has been set at $100,000.
According to an arrest affidavit, Caswell, Walley's girlfriend, would help set up the sexual encounters with the girl.
The affidavit states the woman is 24 years old but has the mental development of a 10-year-old.
According to the affidavit, Walley sexually assaulted the woman on several occasions over a few days span, using several different sexual methods.
The affidavit states Caswell would tell the girl how to get into different positions to have sex with him.
According to the affidavit, alleged victim had a SANE exam at Harold's House and she was still bleeding from the assaults.
The affidavit states Walley gave the mentally disabled woman two rings and threatened her to not tell anyone about the assaults. It also states Caswell attempted suicide for having let the assaults occur.
Diboll police obtained a warrant for Walley's arrest on Friday. He was booked into the jail on Sunday.
