Despite Johnny Manziel's slim chances of playing in the NFL this season, the league has handed the troubled quarterback a four-game suspension for violating their substance abuse policy. According to ESPN, the suspension will take effect immediately.
The suspension comes months after Manziel was dropped by the Cleveland Browns.
Manziel has since been dropped by two agents, and is currently involved in a domestic violence case with his ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley. Manziel's attorney, Bob Hinton, decided not to represent the East Texas native in his case earlier this week.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, Manziel said he was serious about becoming sober and set a start date of July 1.
