Lufkin man arrested twice in 2 days for PCP intoxication

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

A Lufkin man was booked into jail twice in two days for using PCP.

On July 4, Sam Johnson, III was charged with Driving while intoxicated for the second time.On July 3, Johnson was arrested for public intoxication.

According to the daily police report, Johnson was arrested shortly before 7:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Kurth Drive. The report alleges Johnson drove into the side of a home in the 600 block of MLK Drive while high on PCP. The report stated Johnson told officer he also had "two or three beers" earlier in the afternoon. The report continues to state that one of the officers that arrived on scene recognized Johnson from the day before when he arrested him for public intoxication. Police said during the previous incident it is believed that Johnson smoked PCP and then became irrate with officers.

Johnson's bond is set at $1,500.
