NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested a 20-year-old man on a stalking charge Monday in connection to allegations that he beat on a woman's door, parked near her home several times, and made "several hundred" phone calls to her over the course of two days.
Eric Neal Delafuente, of Cushing, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a second-degree felony stalking charge. His bail amount has been set at $10,000.
According to the arrest affidavit, NCSO deputies were dispatched to a mobile home in the 100 block of County Road 122 on Monday. The woman told deputies that Delafuente had been beating on her door and trying to get into her home for several minutes.
Delafuente left the scene before deputies got there, but they found him a short time later, and he was issued a criminal trespass warning, the affidavit stated. He was allegedly seen parked on the road near the woman's home on two other occasions that day.
The affidavit also said Delafuente made "several hundred" phone calls to the woman over the course of two days.
The woman told the deputies that Delafuente's actions caused her to feel "harassed, annoyed, alarmed, abused, tormented, embarrassed, or offended," the affidavit stated.
According to the arrest affidavit, Delafuente has a prior conviction for stalking. He was convicted of stalking in Nacogdoches County's 420 Judicial District Court on May 4, 2016.
