TRINITY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A Trinity County man spent time in jail for allegedly threatening his girlfriend and her friend with a shot-gun to get the truth.
Deputy Magness was called to the scene of an assault where authorities say 25-year-old Mark Skinner kicked, punched, chipped a tooth, and pulled his girlfriend's hair out.
Investigator Tommy Park said Skinner asked his girlfriend where she'd been because she got home late. She responded that she was at a friend's home doing something with a horse.
Park said after he assaulted her, he put her into his truck and went to the friend's home. Skinner allegedly pointed the shot-gun in her face and asked for the truth. Skinner said they were going to set the story straight. The victim's friend knew nothing about the horse story.
Park said Skinner hid in the back of the truck when authorities arrived at the scene.
Skinner was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was released on a $35,000 bond.
