NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Officers with the Nacogdoches Police Department arrested four Arkansas men on a variety of felony drug, money laundering, and gun charges after a traffic stop on Northwest Stallings Drive early Friday morning.
Leonard Earl Walters, 32, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a first degree felony manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance charge, a third-degree felony unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon charge, a third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance between 28 and 400 grams charge, and a third-degree felony money laundering between $100 and $20,000 charge.
Jamel Cain, 29, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, and Lencoya Montreal Strain, 27, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, are still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on first-degree felony manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams, third-degree felony unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and state-jail felony money laundering between $20 and $1,500.
Bronshay Winston, 23, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, was also arrested and charged with first-degree felony manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, third-degree money laundering between $100 and $20,000, and Class A misdemeanor unlawfully carrying a weapon.
No bail amounts have been set for any of the four suspects' charges at this time.
According to a press release from the Nacogdoches Police Department, NPD officers stopped a white Chevrolet Suburban in the 3900 block of NW Stallings Drive at about 1 a.m. Friday for erratic driving and an equipment violation.
When the officers made contact with the occupants of the SUV, they noticed the smell of marijuana.
A search of the Suburban turned up cocaine, codeine a large amount of cash, and numerous guns.
All four men were arrested at the scene and taken to the county jail.
