LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Bugsy is small pup, but he has a huge heart and personality twice his size.

He’s a 6-year-old Australian terrier mix that has a melt-your-heart personality and a playful attitude.

“He’s very active, even for his age, he likes to run around,” said Winnie Berry Animal Shelter Director Mike Stephens. “He’ll hop on your lap, and then he’ll hop back down. He likes attention.”

Bugsy has been on the search for a forever home for a while now and has a lot of love to give. He’s so versatile that he matches with just about any type of family.

“He could probably fit in a lot of different places,” Stephens said. “He gets along with other dogs, and kids would be good with him. Somebody that’s going to have a little room to play; but of course he’s a small dog, so he doesn’t need a whole lot of room.”

If you’re looking for a small, loving dog who is pretty curious then Bugsy is the perfect fit, and he loves attention.

“All of the dogs and cats that we get in, they deserve a good home, they deserve a loving home,” Stephens said. “Someone that is going to be able to take care of them, and give them some attention.”

To adopt Bugsy, you can visit the Winnie Berry Animal Shelter is located at 1102 N John Redditt Drive and is open Monday through Saturday from 10a.m. to 5 p.m.
