HOUSTON COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A Houston County Sheriff's Office deputy arrested a 37-year-old woman earlier this week in connection to allegations that she left two dogs without food and water in her home after she was evicted.
Eboni Tenneal Love, of Crockett, is still being held in the Houston County Jail on a Class A misdemeanor cruelty to non-livestock animals charge. No bail information was available.
According to the arrest affidavit, a Houston County Sheriff's Office deputy met with a woman at 7125 Park Place in reference to some dogs being left behind by an evicted renter.
The affidavit stated that Love, the renter, was evicted from her home, and she moved out on July 15. When she did so, the electricity was turned off at the house, and no food or water was left for her dogs.
The caretaker went to the property in July 18 and found Love's two dogs still in the house, the affidavit stated. One dog was already dead, and the other one was very weak, the affidavit stated.
The complainant took the surviving dog to the South Pine Animal Hospital for veterinary care.
