Downtown Parade Marks Start Of Multicultural Fest

Very nice weather brought out some crowds to a parade in downtown Nacogdoches Saturday.

It was all in honor of the Multicultural Festival. Decorated floats are always fun, but the main attraction was the flags of the different countries represented. Several flags, from the U.S. to Lebanon were flown, all representing the different heritage of the many people in our country.

The parade was just a prelude to the big Multicultural Festival put on each year by Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The main festival will be held next weekend at the Nacogdoches County Expo Center.
